Cultural architect Nástio Mosquito works across performance, film, music and language to create artistic conditions for institutional and public self-recognition. Born in Luanda, raised in Lisbon, based in Ghent. His practice has been commissioned and presented by MoMA New York (Projects 104, 2016), Fondazione Prada Milan, Tate Modern London, Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin, Berliner Festspiele / Foreign Affairs, Venice Biennale (2007, 2015), and the São Paulo Art Biennial (2010), where Frieze described his work as "the most powerful piece in the Biennial." Winner of the Future Generation Art Prize (2014). His 2023–24 commission for HKW, Grandmother's Boy (History?!?), examined the untold story of young Angolans brought to the GDR under false promises of scholarship — a work of memory, dignity and political reckoning that speaks directly to the German context.

NO CAPITAL is a mixtape — Mosquito's first release since completing his celebrated trilogy: S.E.F.A. / Se Eu Fosse Angolano (2014), Gatuno Eimigrante & Pai de Família (2016, commissioned by MoMA, Tate Modern and Berliner Festspiele), and 0 (2024). Thirteen tracks moving between Angolan Portuguese, English and Calão — the Kimbundu-Portuguese blend of Luanda — on identity, capital, language and the politics of belonging.
